After a week of conflicts with various sectors of society, Bolsonaro finally made the decision to reveal who will be in charge of two crucial sectors of his government.

This morning (28) Bolsonaro confirmed the Presbyterian pastor and lawyer André Luiz Mendonça, who is also the current head of the Attorney General's Office as the new Minister of Justice.

And then it was also confirmed that Alexandre Ramagem (a family member), current director of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin), will be the director-general of the Federal Police (PF).

According to O Globo, the appointments of Mendonça and Ramagem were published this Tuesday in the “Official Gazette of the Union”, and are signed only by the president. Jose Levi Mello do Amaral Júnior was appointed to the position of Attorney General of the Union.

Bolsonaro tries to overcome crisis in his government

Since Moro decided to leave the government after Bolsonaro dismissed Valeixo, the Federal Government has entered a clear division: radicals and moderates. The former minister alleged that the president is trying to interfere politically in the PF – which Bolsonaro denies, however, Moro says he has proof of what he accused in his dismissal.

THE supreme body of the PF  is currently investigating, under order of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), a strong (and dangerous) fake news scheme against ministers of the Court and the case of parliamentarians suspected of supporting anti-democratic acts, which advocate military intervention, but has not yet been successful.

In addition, the president faces other problems.

Palace aides confirmed to the press that there is fear that the two investigations could affect two of Bolsonaro's sons: Rio de Janeiro councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (Republicanos) and congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP).

The rapporteur of the investigations, Minister Alexandre de Moraes, determined that the delegates leading these investigations be kept in their positions, after Moro reported that one of the reasons for Bolsonaro having changed the command of the PF is the president's discomfort with the investigations.
