The Emergency Aid that the government promised, if paid correctly, would be a great relief for millions of Brazilians who are having to buy basic bills.
However, millions of Brazilians have still not been able to receive the benefit due to errors and failures in the application and/or Caixa systems. What should be done in this situation?
The apps that allow you to apply for Emergency Aid have several basic errors. There has already been a huge increase in the number of complaints against Caixa. Between April 1 and 22, 2019, there were only 1,217 complaints against the institution, while in the same period this year, 6,822 complaints were registered. Therefore, we understand that there was an increase of 460% in the total number of complaints against Caixa.

Emergency Aid App Does Not Work
“The app is crap, this government is not organized,” are criticisms of the app that was named Caixa Tem. What is happening? There is a delay in releasing the Emergency Aid response.
Thousands of people register complaints on the Play Store (for Android), the average rating for the Caixa Tem app is just 2.6, out of a total of more than 623 thousand reviews made until the morning of Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
Caixa made an official statement on the matter.
Given the constant and growing number of complaints, we recommend that you contact Caixa's main communication channels to find out what the possible reasons are for the app not working. However, we must remember that it is not ideal for you to go to Caixa in person.
We recommend contacting us using the telephone numbers provided below:
Contact Caixa on 3004 1105 for capital cities and metropolitan regions, or 0800 726 0505 for other regions. You can call from either a landline or a cell phone.
