As many people in São Paulo are not respecting the quarantine, as a measure to combat Covid-19, the government will extend it with further restrictions on the movement of people.
As published by the secretariat, Bruno Covas has already decided that there is no way to relax isolation measures. Reports of the disease have increased from 812 per day to 3,400 in the last week.
Together with the Governor, Bruco Covas decided that the city of São Paulo will have its quarantine extended after May 10 and will adopt stricter restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the city. As of Wednesday (29), the city recorded 1,456 deaths from the disease.

The municipal health secretary, Edson Aparecido, said that a decision has already been made:
"We cannot relax isolation measures starting May 10th. In the capital, it is absolutely impossible to do so. On the contrary, we are starting a discussion at City Hall so that we can strengthen some of these measures so that we can increase isolation in the city from this level of 48%.
Quarantine in São Paulo will have more restrictions
Contrary to what many people think, starting May 11th, the state government should relax (with significant restrictions) the operation of businesses in some regions where there are few cases of Covid-19.
Among the new restrictions adopted in partnership with the Government, the City of São Paulo must block some roads in the city.
The secretary said that when you implement a lockdown process and reduce [traffic] a lot, it discourages people from leaving their homes, especially in regions where pressure on the health system has been continually increasing.
After all, which roads are blocked?
Among the regions expected to be locked down is Brasilândia, in the far north of the capital. The Brasilândia district has recorded the highest death toll in the city, with 81 deaths as of April 24.
