Project Implementation

The Secretary of State for Development, mining and energy, Iran Lima, also participated in the meeting to assess the economic conditions for implementing the project.

According to Ricardo Melo, vice president of corporate relations at Ambev, the business proposal meeting was positive and should be approved soon.

With the construction of the new brewery, 1,200 new jobs will be created during the construction phase and another 3,400 positions once it is fully operational.

“Every product we distribute and sell in Pará comes from 13 breweries spread across Brazil.

The idea then is to have a brewery in the state, produce the product here, and export it to other states. The meeting was very positive, and we're in agreement," Ricardo Melo emphasized.

Expand Market

According to Iran Lima, secretary of Sedeme, "the entire Pará market today is supplied by neighboring states, so with an industrial government, the opening of a brewery in the state could expand a market that Pará does not yet dominate, bringing more economic development to the northern region of the country."

"It's an important proposal for the state because it's an industry. The entire economic activity system generates more jobs, and Pará stops importing products from other states.

We now have new production, opening up the possibility of selling to other locations.” Iran Lima – Sedeme.

The proposal is currently undergoing tax incentive negotiations. The new brewery is expected to produce 2 billion liters per year, with a R$1.4 billion investment for its construction.
