Have you ever thought about eating a gold leaf burger? This is the latest addition to the Hard Rock Café in Curitiba, which, like the other restaurants in the worldwide chain, now offers the 24-Karat Gold Leaf Burger. It's a 200-gram burger covered in 24-karat edible gold leaf.
Although to eat the golden burger the price is R$1.4T 129. Part of the income will be donated to the Project Dorcas from the Lutheran church, which helps the needy community of Almirante Tamandaré, in the metropolitan region.
“In a country with so many challenges like Brazil, it is difficult to put a burger with gold on the menu. That is why we decided to donate part of the sales of this dish to the Dorcas project,” explains Brunno Kukulka, managing partner of Hard Rock Cafe Curitiba.
Gold plated
The gold-plated burger is the main new addition to the Hard Rock Café menu, which is changing the global menu after 50 years. The new Hard Rock's Legendary Steak Burgers line has fresh, toasted bread, premium cuts of meat, double cheese. Then there are the sweet and slightly spicy sauces, onion rings and bacon to make everything even more delicious.
Other news
Among the salads, there are two new additions. The Steak Salad includes 8 ounces of grilled steak on a bed of fresh greens with a blue cheese vinaigrette with pickled red onions, red bell peppers, Roma tomatoes with crispy onions and Gorgonzola cheese.
However, the other new addition is the Fresh Beet Side Salad, with beets and oranges in a mix of arugula, spinach with lemon and herb vinaigrette, topped with feta cheese and toasted pumpkin seeds.
There is also a vegetarian burger option, with the Mushroom Swiss Veggie Burger: a homemade burger with beans, roasted corn, chia seeds, red peppers and spices, accompanied by Swiss cheese, roasted mushroom mix, garlic aioli sauce and shoestring onions on top. The new menu also features new drinks, desserts and starters.
