According to information from Valor Econômico, the Petrobrás employee became infected outside the company. And now remains in quarantine for observation and treatment.
In an official statement, the wedding was confirmed by Petrobras last Friday. One of its employees tested positive for coronavirus. According to Valor, the information was initially published by the agency specialized in energy policy “epbr” and confirmed by Valor with the oil company.
Still according to an article published by Economic Value, an employee is based at the headquarters building (Edise), in Rio. He, however, is on vacation, traveled abroad and was confirmed to have Covid-19 before returning to work.
“Therefore, he was not at the company’s facilities after being infected. The employee is in good health, is at home and is being monitored by Petrobras’ health teams,” the company added.
After this event, the company held a meeting with employees to raise awareness about the necessary precautions to be taken against this virus that has terrified the entire world.
Security protocols were adopted after the event.
After the employee was confirmed to be infected, Petrobras decided to preventively suspend all business trips abroad, including for training. Travel within the country is also suspended, with only priority travel being maintained.
In addition, the oil standard is recommending home office for at least seven days for all employees who have returned from abroad, whether for work or on vacation.
Employees from high-risk areas must work from home for 14 days
According to an official statement, the 37 employees who were in China were allowed to return early. None of them showed symptoms after undergoing the quarantine period.
