A new decree from the state government published this Friday night (21) further expanded the restriction on activities by the Government of Goiás.
Everything to reduce the number of people circulating through cities to contain the spread of coronavirus in the State.
This time, Governor Ronaldo Whitewashed (DEM) suspended air travel and land transport to 75% operations of Goiás industries.

Only what is considered essential for the maintenance of human and animal life remains, which includes activities in the food, health and safety chains, as well as communication vehicles, such as newspapers and TV.
The measure that keeps commercial doors closed and suspends most service and industrial activities will be valid until April 4th.
Interstate
Among the most severe prohibitions that will come into effect is the restriction on movement at bus stations and airports. Isolation by land and air – which has been questioned by the federal government in discussions about its authority to do so. Although it will come into effect from Tuesday (24) to allow the return of Goiás residents who are abroad.
The Goiás state government has determined that air travel with origin, stopover or connection in states and countries where the virus has been confirmed to be circulating cannot take place. This means that only travel between municipalities is permitted.
The entry of new guests into the hotel sector and similar accommodations was also suspended for 15 days starting yesterday. The State Attorney General, Juliana Diniz, explains that only the guests' check-out is expected so that they can close the doors.
Isolation
The governor made a statement on TV and radio stations last night where he acknowledged that the social isolation measures are tough.
Although they would be “necessary to save lives” and would follow technical criteria, with a focus on people’s health, he also announced support for business owners due to the economic consequences of the measures.
In the case of industry alone, Fieg announced that more than 140 thousand workers will be on strike, which corresponds to 46% of formal jobs generated by the sector throughout the State.
The food, medicine and security production chains are excluded from the decree, with the aim of maintaining the population's supply. This includes all companies that supply materials necessary for these productions.
“It is important to have the minimum circulation in the State, which is what will represent the success of the action that was taken”, justifies the attorney general.
Classes suspended
The decree complements others that suspended classes and events and closed businesses in busy areas, which was extended for another week.
According to Juliana, the text came to make clearer the need to restrict the flow of people on the streets and to end doubts about what could or could not remain open.
Furthermore, what remains in operation must follow rules to protect workers, such as a minimum distance of 2 meters between employees and the provision of hygiene materials.
Public transport, for example, cannot exceed the capacity of seated passengers. There is also a ban on visiting hospitalized patients diagnosed with coronavirus, except in cases where children need to be accompanied.
If companies fail to comply with the decree, they are subject to fines, closure and the act may be considered a criminal offense.
