This week, the Chamber of Deputies approved a bill that provides for the payment of R$$ 600 to informal workers for three months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
How this will work in practice: For example, a woman who is a mother and head of household will be able to receive R$1,200. The government's proposal was R$200 for informal workers; Congress changed it to R$600.
With approval, which will most likely be obtained in the Senate, the text will be submitted for presidential decree. A date has not yet been set for the senators' review. Payment of emergency aid is limited to two people from the same household.

What do the technical sectors say about this new measure from the Chamber?
According to the preliminary estimate of the Independent Fiscal Institution (IFI), linked to the Senate, the fiscal impact of the aid for the Union will be R$1,400,000,430 billion for three months.
But it is worth noting here that the calculation does not yet consider mothers who are heads of households and who may receive double the aid.
Caixa clarified that under the proposal, self-employed workers who do not receive social security benefits, unemployment insurance, or participate in federal government income transfer programs, with the exception of Bolsa Família, will be able to receive the amount.
Other measures were also announced this morning
Caixa also announced this tomorrow (we talked about this matter here) which will reduce interest rates on all lines of credit, such as loans, financing, etc.
But how will this ultimately work? The government and its technical team are studying every possible way to combat this new global crisis related to the coronavirus.
