Hering will produce around 6,800 protective uniforms, including blouses and trousers, for professionals health professionals who are working to combat the new coronavirus.
The parts will be donated to healthcare institutions in Santa Catarina, Goiás and Rio Grande do Norte, states where the company has production units and distribution centers.
Therefore, part of Hering's production capacity will be mobilized to produce these uniforms “in a conscious and cautious manner”.

The company also reported that employees working on this production receive constant guidance and monitoring.
Blumenau Hering
In Blumenau, the Santa Isabel, Santa Catarina and Santo Antônio hospitals have already received the parts.
Therefore, Hering is not the only textile company in the region that is mobilizing to help combat the pandemic.
The productive sector, in general, has demonstrated its solidarity where possible, despite the freezing of much of economic activity.
From Pomerode, TZE announced the distribution of 1,500 masks made of tricoline and 100% cotton. The product does not prevent contamination nor replace personal hygiene. However, it can be used as a preventative measure, the company said. The masks were sent to nursing homes and health centers.
Lunelli, from Guaramirim, but which has a unit in Luiz Alves, also reported that it produced 30,000 fabric masks that were sent for donation.
Thus, after years of growth, Hering also faced some problems. It was so focused on growing and opening new stores that it forgot to monitor its results. Thus, it experienced periods of significant sales decline, forcing it to pay some of its franchisees out of its own pocket. The company, which was worth 8 million on the stock market, was now worth only 2 million. It was a company that grew too much and lost its way.
