Inspection of agents in Fortaleza to continue isolation

Regardless, bills to pay, food shortages... people risk going out, potentially creating even greater problems with virus transmission. However, epidemiological surveillance teams are working to assess these areas.

Just as the spread of the disease began in Fortaleza in Region II and also in the Center, these are the areas where there is a higher concentration of households, as the virus spreads quickly, it has reached all regions. Although the virus is concentrated throughout the territory, important data indicate that social isolation is currently required.

How important is isolation?

The key point is that the virus's rate of transmission slows, reducing the number of infected cases. With a large number of infected people, the healthcare system can't handle so many people. Just like what happened in Italy, Brazil would also fall into chaos.

Much like quarantine, isolation isn't just about not going out, but also avoiding contact, hugs, kisses, and handshakes. While prevention is important for everyone, the risk of contagion is very high.

The mayor of Fortaleza also mentioned the opening of 240 more emergency beds in the five UPA units, specifically to prepare for the fight against the virus. The number of infected people has been increasing, and states need to prepare by encouraging social isolation and increasing the number of beds.
