Family friend Jorge Oliveira is tipped to replace Sergio Moro

No one who voted for Bolsonaro considered that one day former minister Sergio Moro would resign, and furthermore, would make very serious accusations against the president who chose him.

Because he (Sergio Moro), who has a reputation for arresting former presidents, found the courage to denounce what he considered serious. But Bolsonaro is no longer concerned about that, he wants to put Brazil on the right track, well, at least that's what he believes.

Amigo da família, Jorge Oliveira está cotado para substituir Sergio Moro

Jorge Oliveira as new Minister of Justice

According to Bolsonaro's advisors this week, he will announce Jorge Oliveira, currently Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, as the new Minister of Justice and Public Security, replacing Sergio Moro, who left the post last Friday (24).

According to a report by Globo, several government sources have already confirmed that, after much resistance, Oliveira ended up accepting the position in the Justice Department. He was the name that the Bolsonaro family wanted for the position. This Saturday (25), he met with the president at the official residence of Palácio da Alvorada.

Bolsonaro's federal government has also decided on the new director general of the Federal Police. It will be Carlos Bolsonaro's close friend Alexandre Ramagem, current director of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin). The vacancy in command of the PF was opened after Bolsonaro dismissed police chief Maurício Valeixo.

As we know, Valeixo's sudden rupture was one of the reasons that led Moro to leave the government, alleging an attempt at political interference by the president in the PF.

Therefore, as far as we know, with these changes, Bolsonaro will have two people close to his family in both positions. Oliveira's father worked with the president for 20 years, when Bolsonaro was a congressman.

Finally, as we have seen in the news, the minister himself was a parliamentary advisor to Bolsonaro and, later, chief of staff in the Chamber of Deputies of Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP), the president's son.
