Construction entrepreneurs are celebrating the new measures for the real estate credit market announced by Caixa, such as a grace period for new financing, an increase in the pause time for contracts and debt renegotiation, both for individuals and construction companies.
Although in total, the actions represent R$43 billion in resources in the real estate market in the coming months. The measures will be valid from next Monday (13) and anyone who wants to finance a property will have 6 months to start paying.

Construction entrepreneur Adão Castilho said that the measures were very positive. “We are very pleased with Caixa’s package. Although it provides the construction industry with the means to maintain jobs, these 90 days are three months in which they are making things easier for construction entrepreneurs and also for consumers who have purchased a property. It gives more time to pay for those who are behind on their installments,” he said.
Considerations on construction entrepreneurs celebrate
He highlights that the construction segment is very important in the economy. "The sector employs and unemploys overnight. That is why the Government is concerned about maintaining millions of direct and indirect jobs in MS.
In addition, we must count on the movement of purchases in local commerce. As small business owners, we want to buy here. We are the ones who make the money circulate in the stores”, he stressed, remembering that the package will give more momentum to construction.
Therefore, in addition to the housing package, Catilho reinforces the importance of economic measures to support other segments of the economy. “We have aid packages for other sectors, and construction entrepreneurs are celebrating. This is essential because the economy has to be healthy. In short, there is no point in maintaining jobs now and then having to lay off workers. The project is certainly welcome and God willing, in 90 days we can get back on track in the construction industry,” he emphasized.
