Governor of DF authorizes reopening

Likewise, the governor also authorized the return to activities of the institutions of the S System. Thus, the following will resume operations:

  • National Industrial Training Service (Senai),
  • Social Service of Commerce (Sesc),
  • Social Service of Industry (Sesi),
  • National Service for Commercial Training (Senac), National Service for Rural Training (Senar),
  •  National Cooperative Learning Center (Sescoop),
  •  Social Transport (Sest),
  •  Brazilian Support Agency for Micro and Small Businesses (Sebrae)
  •  National Transport Learning Agency (Senat).

The decision thus confirms the relaxation of the isolation measures determined by Ibaneis on March 19. At the time, he ordered the closure of all businesses, with the exception of health-related activities and the purchase of basic necessities, such as supermarkets and bakeries. Schools and colleges were also prohibited from opening.

As a result, on April 1, Ibaneis issued a decree extending the closure of several types of businesses and educational institutions, but allowing the reopening of permanent fairs. Today's decree includes furniture and appliance stores in the list of establishments covered by the decree issued earlier this month.

Today's report from the Ministry of Health, which updates the country's coronavirus numbers, shows that the Federal District has 555 confirmed cases, with 14 deaths. In addition, the ministry also includes the Federal District on a list, along with São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Ceará and Amazonas, as states that may be entering a phase of uncontrolled acceleration of the pandemic.

Fundraising

In the same decree published today, Ibaneis created the Todos Contra o Covid program. The second decree allows the collection of resources for the immediate acquisition and contracting of services, equipment, supplies, food and other goods necessary to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic. In the publication, these collections cannot require any burden or charges to the Federal District. Thus, the BRB Institute, linked to the Banco de Brasília, will execute the program.
