The history of Volkswagen in Brazil begins in a small rented warehouse on Rua do Manifesto, in the Ipiranga neighborhood of São Paulo. With only 12 employees.
Just six years later, on November 18, 1959, the company opened the Anchieta unit, with the participation of then president Juscelino Kubistchek.
