History

The original company was founded in 1887 by Torakusu Yamaha. As a piano and organ manufacturer. At that time, the name was Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd., in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan. And was incorporated on October 12, 1897.

World War II

After World War II, then-company president Genichi Kawakami repurposed wartime machinery. Using his knowledge of metallurgical technology, he built motorcycles.

Yamaha

THE YA-1 (known as Akatombo, the “red dragonfly“), of which 125 units were built in the first year of production (1954), was named in honor of its founder. It was a 125cc, single-cylinder, urban motorcycle patented after the German DKW RT125.

In 1955, the success of the YA-1 resulted in the founding of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.

THE Yamaha it grew until it eventually became the world's largest manufacturer of musical instruments (including pianos, percussion, guitars, flutes, violins, violas, cellos, and vibraphones). As well as a leading manufacturer semiconductors, audiovisual, related computer products, sports equipment, home appliances and furniture, metals, machine tools, and industrial robots.

In October 1987, on its 90th anniversary, the name was changed to Yamaha Corporation.

    This is a form of inventory financing offered by Yamaha Motor do Brasil in partnership with Banco Yamaha, designed to meet the needs of the Yamaha Dealer Network. It plays a vital role in the commercial relationship between Yamaha Motor, Banco Yamaha, and the Yamaha Dealer Network.
