B3, the main index of the Brazilian stock exchange, closed higher this Friday (28), after two significant falls during the week, in the scenario of the expansion of the coronavirus and fears about its impacts on the global economy. The dollar continued to rise, for the eighth consecutive session, closing the week at R$ 4.48. Ibovespa rose 1.15%, to 104,171 points.
On Thursday, the stock market had fallen 2,59%, to 102,983 points.

This week, the Ibovespa index accumulated losses of 8.37%, marking its worst result since the week ending August 5, 2011, according to Economatica.
For the year, the Ibovespa has accumulated a 9,92% drop, and for the month, the decline reaches 8,43%. And on Friday, the index suffered losses of more than 2% and only reversed direction late in the afternoon.
