Caixa and Sebrae – Credit lines available

The partnership will enable lines of credit offered by Caixa. Complementary guarantees will be granted by Sebrae, through the Micro and Small Business Guarantee Fund (Fampe).

As announced by Caixa, from now on, entrepreneurs will be able to count on an assisted credit platform. The resource will have a grace period of up to 12 months and flexible terms.

MEIs will have access to up to 12.5 thousand reais in credit.

Another new development is that the grace period will be nine months and the interest rates will be 1.59% per month. As for the payment term, this will be two years.

Microenterprises, in turn, will have access to lines of up to R$75,000. The grace period will be twelve months and amortization in up to 30 months, with rates of 1.39%.

Due to the partnership established, small businesses will be able to access up to R$125,000 in credit. It is worth remembering that, with these new measures, the grace period will be one year, up to three years to pay and interest of R$1.19%.

Better conditions for MEIs and companies

There's a lot of news, isn't there? According to Caixa's president, Pedro Guimarães, the partnership aims to support the micro-enterprise sector, which has suffered greatly due to the reduction in activities caused by the new coronavirus.

The president of Sebrae, Carlos Melles, argues that one of the biggest obstacles to small businesses accessing credit is the requirement for guarantees made by financial institutions.

If you want to read more information about these new measures announced by Caixa and Sebrae, we recommend that you check the rules on the official portals of the respective institutions.
