The new coronavirus is changing the routine of the entire planet. This week, Caixa Econômica Federal announced that it will serve account holders via the WhatsApp application to avoid crowds.
Caixa reported that this measure was taken with the aim of facilitating the adoption of services during the quarantine, avoiding physical contact between customers and employees, in compliance with the WHO order.
With online service, you can renegotiate debts, renew contracts and request a pause in loan installments. Interested customers should send a message to the number 0800-726-8068 and provide their CPF.

Furthermore, according to Caixa, account holders will also be able to increase their bank transaction limits through the bank's app or via message.
Another decision that was also made was that the bank structured actions to alleviate the impact of the coronavirus, with a pause in payments, a reduction in interest rates and an expansion of the payroll loan for INSS retirees and pensioners. All actions can be discussed with the manager via WhatsApp or through the Caixa app.
Caixa employees will be released
Another change was announced this Sunday (22) in which Caixa informed that 70% of the agency employees will be allowed to work from home starting this week.
The company's decision includes everyone over 60 years of age, pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as employees who are in risk groups in case of contamination by the new coronavirus.
Therefore, as we informed at the beginning, in-person service will be restricted to the payment of social security benefits to INSS policyholders and other social benefits, such as unemployment insurance, unemployment insurance, salary bonus and FGTS (Service Time Guarantee Fund) for workers who do not have a citizen card.
