Carnival 2020 generated a little over R$1.4 billion in tourism-related activities this year, according to the first official data from the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC).
For this year of 2020, the revenue, if confirmed, represents a real increase of 1% in relation to that obtained in the same period last year and, in addition, it is the highest volume since 2015.
The information is according to the CNC, which concluded that “the gradual recovery of economic activity, combined with low inflation” tends to reflect in the moderate recovery of tourist services.
Furthermore, the strengthening of the dollar against the real will likely favor a greater internal flow of tourists and other investors at this best time of year for the Brazilian economy.
