The 5th stage of the Brazilian Beach Volleyball Championship began this Wednesday, the 12th, as it will be the first major sports economic event in Maceió in 2020.
Since the event has the participatory support of the City Hall of Maceió, it has the participation of consecrated sports on the sands of Pajuçara.
As a sporting result, the municipal economy should feel a positive impact of around R$1,400,000, according to data from the Maceió Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Since last week, the capital of Alagoas has been hosting volleyball competitions, with the Brazilian Under-19 Championship, which will continue until next Sunday (16).
According to the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV), a total of 224 athletes, 36 members of the technical committee and approximately 30 team professionals will participate.

Therefore, in total, the sporting event should generate more than 150 direct and indirect jobs in the capital, as the city boosts the economy.
