According to Governor Witzel's decision so far, at least 30 municipalities will have their quarantine relaxed and will be able, among other things, to open their businesses.
A new update emerged after a meeting last Monday at the Guanabara Palace between Rio de Janeiro Governor Wilson Witzel, Health Secretary Edmar Santos and other members of the department's team. It was decided that social quarantine will be relaxed in at least 30 municipalities in the state.
For now, the measure is not valid for the capital, which has the highest number of confirmed cases of coronavirus. The total number of people infected is 1,461.

Witzel will announce other measures to combat the disease today (7), in a press conference. The governor, together with the Health Secretary, evaluated criteria for easing isolation. Of the 92 municipalities in the state, 41 have confirmed cases of coronavirus.
The restrictions that were foreseen in the government decree remained in place. The 13th is the final deadline. Despite this, many people took to the streets last weekend, not disobeying the determination to socially isolate and stay at home.
