This week alone, the São Paulo State Health Department recorded around 219 deaths related to the new coronavirus. According to information from the department, which has been playing an excellent role, the number is three times higher than last Friday (68 deaths).
In addition, confirmed cases also quadrupled, jumping from 1,223 to 4,048.
The secretariat also clarified that the total is 121 men and 98 women. To date, around 90% of them have occurred in private services.

It is known that among the 219 deaths, 24 were over 90 years old; 57 were in the 80-89 age range; 66 were between 70-79; and 45 were between 60-69 years old. About new deaths from Coronavirus in São Paulo
As I mentioned previously, the deaths are concentrated in 29 cities, with 8 of them having their first death confirmed today: Barueri, Carapicuíba, Diadema, Itapecerica da Serra, Franco da Rocha and Mogi das Cruzes, in Greater São Paulo; in addition to Jaboticabal and Cravinhos, in the Ribeirão Preto region.

The Government of São Paulo also confirmed 32 deaths from coronavirus this Friday (3) of the 201 deaths considered suspicious and that were pending, on the waiting list at the Adolfo Lutz Institute. On the night of this Thursday (2), another 20 suspicious deaths were confirmed.
Therefore, as far as we know, of the 201 deaths, 132 tested negative for coronavirus. Another 37 tests were considered inadequate, that is, it was not possible to perform the analysis because the samples were damaged either by lack of material, incorrect collection or damage during transport.
Finally, according to information from the secretariat, 19 exams were classified as “extracted”, that is, there was doubt in the analysis and the tests are being redone.
