Soybeans are one of the biggest movements in Brazilian exports with abroad. Therefore, soybean exports grew 37.6% in March, compared to the same period last year.
According to Secex (Secretary of Foreign Trade) which formulates and manages Brazilian foreign policy at the Ministry of Economy, Brazil reached 11.64 million tons exported.
Even during the coronavirus pandemic, when comparing monthly values, it more than doubled compared to export comparisons. In February, the value reached 5.1 million tons, the harvest period.

Soybean and beef exports increase
Although the pandemic has affected transportation with disruptions on the highways, as truck drivers have suffered with fewer stops. And so we see this growth and progress in exports.
In comparison, in March, Brazil reached sales of 3.978 billion dollars, an increase of 31.6%.
According to Anec (Association of Cereal Exporters), the accumulated total for the month would have reached 11.5 million tons. This association seeks data from Secex, which works to develop data to study the trade balance, and also released records in March of 13.1 million tons.
Although disclosures on exports and movement are being developed, the total period has not been closed and volumes may be even higher.
Beef
Beef, like soybeans, has a large foreign market. Fresh meat in March was valued at 125.9 thousand tons, according to information provided by the federal government. Compared to last year in the same period in March, there was a growth of 6.2%.
Even with the pandemic, the closure of suppliers who needed to adhere to holidays, companies such as JBS and Minerva, the largest beef exporters, still achieved positive performance.
China, the country where the virus pandemic originated, although affected, has reports of returning to purchasing Brazilian meat. Thus, Brazil managed to reach 555.4 million dollars with exports in March.
