Acre Government Guarantees Support to Rural Producers During Isolation

The new Coronavirus pandemic has caused real disruptions to many forms of work in the world, and in Brazil in general, especially the government of Acre.

The new Covid-19 pandemic, which has required social isolation for a large part of the population as the best preventive measure, has not yet frightened the Government of Acre, which, through the Secretariat of Production and Agribusiness (Sepa), has been striving to maintain support for rural producers, especially those in family farming.

Last Friday, the 3rd, the Secretary of Production and Agribusiness, Edivan Maciel, met at the Rio Branco Supply Center (Ceasa).

They met with representatives of family farming, including associations and cooperatives, to discuss new and safer forms of marketing Acre Government.

Although their products during the pandemic are responsible for maintaining the city's supply and the income of these families.

Among other emergency actions carried out in favor of producers, Sepa teams also helped the Ramal 16 community, in the municipality of Plácido de Castro.

In addition, the corn and soybean harvest continues in the state in several regions, mainly with the support of state government machinery. And the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) also continues firmly where, through federal funding.

Therefore, Sepa purchases products from family farming at a good price for producers and distributes them to welfare organizations.

It was through the PAA itself that the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Human Rights and Policies for Women (SEASDHM).

This partnership with the State Secretariat for Production and Agribusiness (Sepa) delivered approximately 350 kilos of food to Venezuelan immigrants who are sheltered in Cidade do Povo.

Even with all the problems of the period of social isolation, Sepa continues to work to ensure strong rural production in the Government of Acre. Thus, with the consolidation of agribusiness, with income generation for rural people, especially those who live off family farming.

Finally, they declared that the teams remain committed and focused on this mission, taking all precautions against the pandemic.
