THE Paulistana Tax Invoice Program It was developed with the aim of reducing tax evasion by establishments, and as an incentive, participants receive a percentage of the amount paid for their purchases, which can reach up to 30% of the ICMS collected.
Additionally, program participants also receive a electronic ticket every R$ 100.00 in purchases made to participate in draws that occur monthly.
With the accumulated balance, consumers can deduct part of the IPVA or make transfers to a current or savings account in their name.
How to use the Nota Fiscal Paulista balance
To redeem the accumulated balance, simply follow the steps below:
1. Access the official website from the São Paulo Tax Note;
2. When accessing, still on the home page, provide your CPF or CNPJ to perform the query. The amount available for redemption will then be displayed;
3. Choose the profile;
4. Make your CPF/CNPJ available again;
5. Right after this step, click on “Use Credits”;
6. You will be able to choose to transfer the money to a checking account or savings account.
It is worth noting that the account must be owned by the person who is registered with Nota Fiscal Paulistana;
7. Another possibility is to set aside the amount to be deducted from the IPVA, however, this option is only available in October.
With this step-by-step guide, you will be able to enjoy your accumulated balance, but it is worth noting that only transfers from R$ 25.00 will be released for both CPF and CNPJ. After requesting the transfer, the amount will be credited to the user's account from Wednesday of the following week.
The balance will be available for up to 5 years and may be used during this period.
How Nota Fiscal Paulistana works
The program aims to stimulate commercial establishments to issue an invoice. To participate in the program, simply register on the website Secretariat of Finance and Planning and start providing the CPF/CNPJ at the time of all purchases.
Therefore, when the establishment generates the tax receipt and makes the payment ICMS, the Treasury Department will return the percentage belonging to the consumer that ranges from 5% to 30% of the ICMS value.

How to register
To register, simply access the official website of the Finance and Planning Department and follow the steps below:
1. Choose the “Register” option;
2. Provide the requested personal data, such as: CPF, full name, mother's full name and date of birth;
3. This will open a “Consumer data” tab, in which you must fill in all the required information;
4. The system will then ask for a security phrase;
5. At the end of this process, you will be directed to a screen where you must provide more additional information;
6. That's it! After completing your registration, simply provide your CPF number for all purchases to start enjoying the benefits of the program.
