Yesterday afternoon (30), a shipment of kits containing 500,000 tests for rapid detection of the new coronavirus arrived in Brazil directly from China. Due to the simplification of procedures due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the cargo passed through Customs quickly and without problems.

The Federal Revenue Service released all the material in a very quick period of time, it took only 68 minutes. The customs office at Cumbica Airport, in Guarulhos (SP), which received the first batch of tests.

According to the Federal Revenue Service, another accelerated clearance process also took place in Belém. The state authorized the import of 20 respirators for immediate patient care.

To speed up the process, the IRS unit in Pará monitored the import license process while it was being analyzed by Anvisa. The physical inspection took place simultaneously with the arrival of the equipment. The integration also includes state and municipal control agencies.

The Federal Revenue Service also released and allocated 1,620,000 masks and gloves that were seized to help combat the coronavirus in the state of São Paulo at the port of Santos in São Paulo. The materials were sent to the Revenue Service unit in São Paulo and to agents of the Federal Highway Police and the Ministry of Agriculture who work in the state.

The Federal Revenue Service received 1 million non-sterile gloves and 117,000 non-sterile masks. The Federal Highway Police of São Paulo received 500,000 gloves. And the Ministry of Agriculture received 3,000 masks.
