Importance for Tourism

Then Vice President Anderson Rocha recalled the importance of BH C&VB for tourism. “The largest and best tourist destinations in the world have this institution. These are institutions recognized worldwide for promoting tourist destinations,” said Rocha. However, he took the opportunity to present his line of work as head of the institution. “We work with the vocation of the creative economy. And from now on, our search will be for small and medium-sized events,” he stated.

Although the president of CDL/BH, Bruno Falci, recalled that the capital's tourism sector has consolidated itself as one of the strongest alternatives for the growth of our economy. “We at CDL/BH are aware of the importance of tourism for Belo Horizonte. That is why the entity actively participates in the State and Municipal Tourism Councils, in the Convention Bureau and in the Tourism Business and Events Network”, he points out.

Anderson Rocha

However, Belotur’s president, Mauro Werkema, congratulated the new board, especially Anderson Rocha. “I have a lot of faith in Anderson’s management, which has an inclusive vision,” he said. However, Werkema also warned about the period of oscillation that we are going through. “We are living in a unique moment that brings us many concerns, but we should not be pessimistic. If there is a retraction in economic activities, we should take advantage of it to innovate and evaluate what we have and plan and rethink our actions to be successful in the coming years,” he concluded.

Councilman Wendel Mesquista said he has no doubt that Anderson Rocha’s management will leave a mark on tourism in Belo Horizonte, as he works with passion. However, he also took the opportunity to make a first-hand announcement. “This week, the construction of the capital’s new convention center will be approved by the City Council,” promised the councilman.

Above all, Belutor’s Director of Tourism Promotion, Stella Kleinrath, took the opportunity to say that she is very happy with the inauguration of the new president. “Anderson’s performance is very dynamic, with a vision for the future. I am certain that the Convention Bureau will become a partner of the City of Belo Horizonte with this new board of directors,” she concluded.

The vice-president of CDL/BH and secretary of the Central-South Regional Administration of the Belo Horizonte City Hall, Marcelo de Souza e Silva, stated his support for Anderson Rocha as head of BH C&VB. “I have known Anderson for over 20 years and I fully believe in his work.
